1000 pounds of trout are being planted each week ranging from 3-10 pounds. Anglers are doing well on powerbait, mice tails, nightcrawlers, rooster tail, and kastmasters. Many crappie and some bigger catfish are being caught as well.

The bass bite has slowed with the water temperature dropping. The kokanee are doing well with fish being caught up to 13.5 inches trolling between 40 and 80 feet in the main body on pink hoochies.

Fishing pressure has been light at Collins with a couple of bank anglers catching trout up to five pounds. Anglers have been doing well on powerbait, nightcrawlers, mice tails, and marshmallows. Boats have been doing well trolling spoons such as needlefish, speedy shiners, little cleos and various other lures.

The sturgeon bite has slowed due to the colder water temperatures. Striper fishing has been better in the shallow water using live bait. Anglers are also catching a few largemouth on the San Joaquin side fishing the weeds using slow imitation jerk baits.
