The south end is fishable, with about 6? out from the silos. The further north you go the less ice there is, so use caution. Rainbows are being caught with marabou jigs with maggots or powerbait and nightcrawlers on a deadstick. Some anglers have been catching walleye on hyperglides and Lindy Glo Spoons with a bit of sucker meat or a minnow head.

Fishing is good for trout and ling. Trout will take a small jigging spoon or powerbait on a deadstick. Ling fishing has been good, particularly around the cliffs. Ling prefer glow in the dark jigs and sucker meat. Use caution, it is rumored someone put a pickup through the ice.

Crooked Creek and Hell Creek have fishable ice, and pike are being caught on tip ups with smelt. Some really nice walleyes have been caught by anglers jigging or with live minnows on tip ups. Crappies, catfish, and ling are also being caught.
