Fishing should pick up as the weather warms and the ice comes off the river. For the pike try crankbaits and spoons. The small mouth won't be super active in the cold water but try casting twist tail grubs and lipless crankbaits for them.

Holter Lake has around a foot of ice. The perch fishing has been hit and miss. Try fishing in around 30-40 feet of water with small jigs tipped with maggots. Trout are being caught in the bays in 8-10 feet of water.

Open since 2013, Sportsman’s Warehouse in Missoula is a block away from the Clark Fork River, near where it meets the Blackfoot and Bitterroot Rivers. National gunsmithing services are now available!
