Open since 2007, Sportsman’s Warehouse in Wasilla, AK is near Wasilla Lake, Denali National Park, Matanuska Glacier, Little Susitna River, Palmer Hay Flats, and the Iditarod Headquarters. National Gunsmithing services are now available! If you like hunting and trapping, we’re here to get you all set up with everything you need. Popular pursuits include moose, sheep, mountain goat, caribou, ptarmigan, grouse, waterfowl, black and brown bear. If fishing is more your speed, we have all of your tackle to catch the legal limit. Common catches are salmon, trout, pike, and you can get to saltwater a few hours away. We also carry plenty of supplies for hiking, camping, sightseeing, and ATV riding. Our shop services are available to spool reels, mount and boresight rifle scopes, cut arrows, tune bows in our 11-yard archery lane, and anything covered by your Firearm Service Plan.     Big lake is a great place to target big Arctic Char/Dolly Varden. Rainbow fishing can also be very productive. Northern Pike are present in some areas of the lake and some very large fish have been taken in recent years. This is a no bait lake. Tube jigs
