Not hearing of a lot of activity on Amber, which is good. The water is really calm and the fish are hungry. Sinking lines and wooly buggers are working great right now.

The water temperature is still relatively high so the fish are going to be a little deeper in the water column. Trolling deeper with leaded line and wedding ring or hoochie tipped with a night crawler should produce some keepers.

A few tournament anglers have reported catching nice smallmouth in the northern most part of the lake, as well as around steamboat rock. Drop-shots are working well for both bass and walleye.

Not getting many fishing reports from this lake. Getting a lot of reports of people tubing and floating which makes it tough fishing. Try terrestrials and going early and or staying late. Run a dropper under your hoppersomething beadheadsomething flashy.

The weather is starting to cool down causing a lot of fish to go shallower into the water column. Take advantage of this and try crankbaits for the bass and walleye.

Perch and crappie on the south end of the lake are doing well, use a small jig and corn to catch them. Bass fishing is also doing well, throw a chartreuse tipped plastic and Carolina rigs for the best results.

Anglers have reported catching quite a few smallmouth bass in this gem. If you havent had the opportunity to fish this river I suggest you do. The Ronde is a selective gear fishery, single pointed barbless hooks only.

Anglers have reported success on the east end side of the lake, there is a lot of structure over there for the perch and bass. Try using a dirty brown senko or a shad imitation crankbait. The musky are still hitting on big swim baits.

Muskie fishing seems to be poor right now, getting reports of seeing them but not getting them to strike. However, bass fishing along the lily pads by the boat launch seems doing well.
