LAST AVAILABLE REPORT FROM TWRA CREEL CLERKS IS 28 NOV 18. Reservoir Conditions: Summer normal elevation: 682.0 feet. Winter normal elevation: 676.0 feet. Current elevation: 676.46 feet. The water surface temperature is 52 to 54 degrees. Largemouth Bass: If you are stirring up mud with your trolling motor, you are in the right location. Cast spinnerbaits, topwater baits, lipless lures, and square bills. Smallmouth Bass: Get on the river shallow banks and cast crankbaits or slow roll a spinnerbait. Upper and lower reservoir is the better location. More upper than lower. Crappie: Areas of interest include secondary to primary transition locations, blowdowns on steep secondary banks, docks, and current diversion holes in the river. Jigs are more efficient, but minnow dipping is also good. Striped bass: Locate shad in the lower reservoir in the sloughs or channels leading into the sloughs and cast spoons or swimbaits. Bluegill: Some bluegill are being caught while fishing in many areas. River bluffs, docks, or shallows are places bluegill are being caught. Worms are being used most often. Sauger/Walleye: The river flow is strong making proper presentation difficult in the upper river. Some anglers are fishing the crease near the dam or just inside the still water with minnows and/or jigs. Catfish: Use cut bait, chicken parts, or shad for the better fishing. Fish the river.

One of the best trout fishing destinations in our area this week. Showers will raise water levels. Wait on levels to recede. Wade fishing the Tellico and tributaries. Best techniques - dry dropper, and nymphing. Small streamers.
